Tomorrow is Christopher Columbus Day. We will be learning all about him and his discovery and be making a special craft. We also will be exploring items that float and sink.
Please keep an eye out for a Signup Genius for the Harvest Festival. It will be sent out Monday morning and can be found on the Home Room Mom's page of my website as well tomorrow. Don't forget that we also have the day off on Friday and Monday. Enjoy the break :)
Reading: Our first unit test will be tomorrow. This will test the words and letter sounds that we have learned so far. We will then begin our next lesson that is about our senses. We will hear the stories "Listen, Listen" and "My Five Senses." The sound for the week is /a/ and the HFW is "see."
Math: The students will be learning numbers up to 20. We will use ten frames to represent numbers.
Religion: The lesson this week is on baptism. We will be discussing the sacraments. Please bring in a photo from your child's baptism to share with the class on Wednesday. Bring the photo in a labeled ziplock bag or envelope.
Have a nice week!
