We have a busy week planned with some fun and exciting things happening on Friday!! October is fire safety month and to teach the kids a bit about this two firefighters will be visiting us on Friday! Don't forget that Friday is also the Harvest Festival. Come join us for food and games from 6-9! I hope to see you all there! If you are attending and haven't had a chance to do so, please sign up to help run K1's game booth. There are still spots available.
Reading: The reading lesson this week is all about how animals and people move. We will hear two stories: "Jonathan and His Mommy" and "Move." Our high frequency word is "a" and we will practice identifying /k/ as the sound for C. The students will be introduced to color words as adjectives as well.
Math: We will be reviewing the last chapter and practicing with number writing and tens frames. The students will be assessed on numbers 0-20 and will also take a cumulative test over the past three chapters.
Religion: We will continue to learn about the saints as well as adoration throughout the week. The students will be making their own Monstrance and will continue to make pictures to add to a saint book.
Science/Social Studies: In preparation for our visit from the firefighters, the students will be reading about and learning about fire safety. They will create an art project to remind them of a fire safety rule.
