I hope you had a nice weekend! A couple reminders for this week:
1) We are making our October placemats for our Faith in Action project this Wednesday. There is still one slot available if anyone would like to fill it. Here is the link again: http://www.signupgenius.com/go/4090d4faba72da13-faith
2) The school Harvest Festival is this Friday, October 27th. We would love to see you all there. Please make sure that you get registered to attend by this Wednesday. We also need volunteers for both our booth and just general help for the event. If you are able to give a short bit of your time to help run this fun event we would greatly appreciate it! Please check the Friday newsletter for all the links to register and sign up to help.
Here is what we will be working on this week in our classroom:
Reading: Our lesson is about ways to move. We will hear the stories Jonathan and His Mommy and Move! The sight word we are learning is "a" and our letter is C. Our Alphafriend to help remember this is Callie Cat. We also will be working on color words as adjectives.
Math: We are continuing to practice with numbers 0-20. The students will practice using ten frames to represent numbers up to 20.
Religion: In preparation for All Saints Day we will begin our own saint study in the class. We will learn about a handful of well-known saints and talk about their contributions to the church and what we remember them for. Please make sure your child is working on their saint projects at home.
I hope to see you all on Friday. Thanks!
Miss Lauren Cordier
