I hope everyone had a blast at the Harvest Festival. I enjoyed seeing you all there!!
We have a very busy and fun week in Kindergarten. Tomorrow we have some fun activities planned to celebrate Halloween. Don't forget that on Wednesday, November 2nd we are having the Litany of the Saints in the courtyard. We will begin at 8:15 so please join us for this special celebration. I can't wait to see all the kids dressed up in their saint costumes!! Saint reports are due on Wednesday as well.
If your child has completed their October book list, return it to school this week. When they are returned I will attach a coupon for a free personal pan pizza! Keep and eye out for the November homework calendar that will go home Tuesday.
Here is what we will be learning about:
Reading: Our reading lesson this week is all about wheels and how they help us. The students will hear the stories "Good Morning Digger" and "What Do Wheels Do All Day?" The high-frequency word is "to" and we will be learning the /p/ sound. We will also talk about numbers as adjectives.
Math: The students will review flat shapes and learn about solid shapes. We will learn the terms face, edge, and corner.
Religion: We will be preparing for our Litany of the Saints as well as learn about the saints through the students' saint reports.
Science: We will talk about force and pushes and pulls. The students will be able to explore these topics through cars and ramps.
Have a great week!
