I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving break with your families! The next few weeks will be busy as we finish out the second quarter and get ready for Christmas!
Here is what we will be working on this week:
Reading: This week's lesson is all about weather. We will read two stories, "Storm is Coming" and "Snow." Our sight words are "with" and "my." We also will be working on the /n/ sound. For grammar we will learn about verbs as part of a sentence.
Math: We are finishing up our chapter on numbers to 100. We will continue to practice skip counting by 2s, 5s, and 10s. We will also practice with completing number sequences and finding the least and greatest number in a set. We will end the week with a test on this chapter.
Religion: Over the next few weeks we will be learning about Advent. This week we are talking about how we prepare our hearts and our homes for Jesus. We will be learning about the Advent Wreath and the students will be making their own paper wreath to take home.
Science: We will discuss different types of weather patterns and look at daily forecasts to track those patterns.
Have a great week!
