Hello K1 families! I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving. Thank you all for your generosity in donating to our food drive. We were able to collect over 200 turkeys this year!! We have a busy four weeks ahead of us before Christmas break begins!
Here is what we will be working on this week:
Reading - Our theme this week is weather. The students will hear the stories Storm is Coming and Snow! Our sight words this week are "with" and "my." The sound we will be working on is /n/ and we will practice identifying verbs in sentences.
Religion - We will spend the next four weeks discussing advent. This week we will discuss how we prepare our hearts and our homes for Jesus' birth. We will learn about the advent wreath and what each candle represents.
Math - We will begin a new chapter on numbers to 100 this week. We will start by learning about skip counting by 2s, 5s, and 10s.
Science - This week is all about weather! We will do various experiments about clouds, rain, snow, tornado, and the water cycle. We will also learn how to write a weather report.
Have a great week!
Miss Lauren Cordier
