Welcome back everyone! I hope that you all had a great Thanksgiving!
We have a busy week ahead getting right back into things! Here is what we will be working on:
Reading: This week's lesson is about weather. The students will hear the stories Storm is Coming! and Snow! to be introduced to this topic. Our new sight words are "with" and "my." The sound we will practice is /n/. We will also talk more about verbs and why we need a subject and a verb to have a sentence.
Math: We are continuing on in our chapter on numbers to 100. We will explore how to use base ten blocks to count to represent higher numbers. Practice identifying numbers 0-100 at home. Challenge your child to skip count to 20 by 2s and 5s.
Religion: We will spend the next four weeks talking about Advent. This first week is all about preparing our hearts and homes for Jesus. We are learning what Advent is and how we can use an Advent Wreath to count the weeks until Christmas. The students will make their own Advent wreaths to "light" each week at home as well.
Thank you and have a great week!
