I hope you had a great weekend! Don't forget this week we have our Christmas concert. The kids need to be in K1 by 5:30. They have been working so hard and can't wait to sing for you!
Here is what we will be working on this week:
Reading: We will be learning about animals and read "A Zebra's World" as well as "What Do You Do With a Tail Like This." Our new sight words are "what" and "you." The sound we will be practicing is /f/. We also will be working on capitalization and punctuation when writing complete sentences.
Math: The students will be introduced to the concept of addition through combining sets. We will revisit the concept of fewer and more and compare sets of objects.
Religion: We will be talking about the second week of Advent and hear the story of how Mary said yes to being the Mother of God. We will continue to prepare for Jesus' birth.
Writing: We will be writing letters to Santa as a part of National Belieive Day. The letters that we write will help to raise money for the Make-A-Wish foundation.
Have a wonderful week!
