Welcome back! I hope everyone had a fun and relaxing break. Although I have enjoyed my time to rest, I am ready to be back with your wonderful kiddos tomorrow! We are getting right back into things this week.
Here is what we will be working on:
Reading: Our theme this week is about the sky. The students will hear the stories What a Beautiful Sky and How Many Stars in the Sky? We will be reviewing our Unit 3 sight words and the students will be introduced to the long a sound. Next week we will have our test on unit 3.
Math: The lesson for this week is about comparing sets. This lesson is our introductory lesson for addition. We will use number trains to compare numbers and review the concepts of more, fewer, and less. The students will also practice finding the difference using picture representations.
Religion: The students will be learning about prayer. They will hear the story of when Jesus taught us to pray as well as the story of the pharisee and the tax collector. We will begin to learn about adoration and talk about the importance of it as well as what we should be praying about when we visit the chapel. The students will be making their own monstrance to take home at the end of the week.
Thank you and have a great week,
Miss Lauren Cordier
