I hope you all had a relaxing and enjoyable three day weekend. Tomorrow we are back to work and this week we will be celebrating the 100th day of school!!!
Reading: Our new chapter is all about science! We will hear the stories Dear Mr. Blueberry and What is Science? We will begin learning 6 sight words a week now. This week's words are: is, how, many, of, so, and where. We will also be learning the difference between statements and questions.
Math: The next chapter we will be learning in math will be about counting on and counting back. This will help us prepare for completing addition problems. We will spend a lot of time on the number 100 on Thursday in honor or our 100th day of school as well!
Religion: This week's lesson is about Jesus' followers, the disciples. We will be making a craft to help us remember the names of the 12 Disciples. Don't forget to bring in an egg carton for your child by Friday.
Animal reports are due on Wednesday. Please do not forget to bring in the report and the diorama by Wednesday morning. I am really looking forward to hearing the student's presentations and seeing their creative projects.
Our school wide Faith In Action project for this month is making no-sew blankets for foster care children. We would love to see every family participate and donate a blanket that they made!
Thank you and have a wonderful short week!
