Happy Tuesday! I hope you all enjoyed your President's Day and managed to stay mostly dry over this long weekend :)
Our school auction is coming up quickly and this year we are doing a new project. Our class worked so hard making beautiful plates that are available for you to purchase. Each of your children filled in a cross with their fingerprints and the plate says "God is Good, All the Time." They turned out great and we would love for you to purchase your child's to help support our school. To order please fill out this form and return it to school.
This is what is happening in K1 this week: \
Reading: We have our unit 4 assessment today and will begin our new unit today as well. This week's stories are about friendship and working together. We will hear Simon and Molly + Hester and Zin! Zin! a Violin. The sound for the week is /o/ and our new words are make, them, play, say, new, give.
Math: We will be working with length and height again and practice measuring using non-standard units such as cubes. We will have our assessment on this chapter at the end of the week.
Religion: Our new chapter is about how God cares for everything that he has created. We will hear the story of the Good Shepherd. Our assessment will be on Friday of this week. Please look out for an email with the questions.
Have a great week!
