I hope you all had a fun and relaxing long weekend! We will kick off our short week with school mass tomorrow and will get right back into things. Next week we will be celebrating Dr. Seuss' birthday and Read across America. Please keep an eye out for a Sign Up Genius to come in and read to our class.
Here is what we will be working on this week in K1:
Reading: This week's lesson is about making discoveries and the students will hear the stories Duck and Goose and Curious George's Dinosaur Discovery. We are reviewing the sounds and sight words from this unit in preparation for our unit test next week. We have learned through the word up , please continue to practice the words we have learned so far with your child.
Math: We will review number facts this week and how to compose and decompose numbers. This is in preparation for learning to add and subtract. We will finish the week by working on some centers to review as well.
Religion: This week we will begin to discuss the Stations of the Cross. We will learn about each one and the students will create a book to help them remember and understand the story by.
Have a great week,
Miss Lauren Cordier
