Happy April everyone!!
Here is what we will be working on this week:
Reading: This week's lesson is about family outings. We will hear the stories Someone Bigger and One of Three. We will also read an information article called Cross-Country Trip that teaches us about different places we can visit and what you do there. The new sight words this week are have, one, ask, help, every, walk. The sounds we will be practicing are /l/ and /w/. We will have our sight word test on Thursday and our spelling test on Friday. This week's spelling words and sentence will be as follows:
dust, wish, land, ask, God
bonus word - only
Sentence - I can ask God for help.
Math: We will continue to practice with subtraction. We will work through various activities and centers to become more comfortable writing and solving subtraction number sentences.
Religion: We finished our Stations of the Cross book and are focusing on the Resurrection Eggs and deeper discussion of what happened to Jesus. We also will have the opportunity to portray some of the Stations of the Cross as a class. Keep an eye out for a special video featuring your kids coming soon :)
Have a great week!
