Hello K1 families!
We have a busy week ahead of us!! Some reminders for this week:
This week we will continue to dive into our curriculum! This is what we will be learning about:
Reading - We will review letters F-J and continue to practice identifying as well as writing the uppercase and lowercase letters. The students will hear some stories and more nursery rhymes and will be working on counting the syllables in words.
Math - The students will have the opportunity to work on some hands-on centers to further explore numbers 1-5. We will be working with manipulatives like counters, cubes, and sorting bears to practice our counting. Every day the students will be working on the proper way to write the numbers as well.
Religion - Monday is the Centenary Celebration of Our Lady of Fatima. In honor of this we will be learning about the rosary and as a class we will pray one decade. We are now moving into our second lesson on creation. We will hear the story of creation and spend the week creating a book to help us remember what God created on each day. We will also have discussions about how we can respect each of the things that God created.
Thank you and have a great week!
