Welcome back everyone! I hope you had a great spring break!!! I am looking forward to our last month of the school year together!
This what we will be doing in K1 this week:
Reading: Our unit is all about getting help when we need it. We will be reading two stories: The Little Engine that Could and You Can Do It, Curious George. The sight words for this week are look, saw, very, put, out. Our sounds to practice are /z/ and /v/. The spelling words are:
Sentence: I saw a duck at the zoo.
Math: The students will be learning about weight a well as volume. We will play with balance scales to compare the weights of items. The assessment on this chapter will be on Friday.
Religion: This week's lesson is about how after death there is life. We will talk about Jesus' resurrection and how his sacrifice gives us new life! An email with the questions for this chapter's assessment will go out on Wednesday. The assessment will be on Friday.
Science: To go with our religion chapter on new life, we will be talking about the life cycle of a butterfly!
Have a wonderful week!
