With the spring concert quickly approaching, Mr. Ramos has a few reminders about this exciting evening:
Dear parents, just a reminder, that the Spring concert is scheduled for May 4, 2018 and is fast approaching. Here are some details:
-Dress code is 1950s, appropriate, poodle skirts for girls would be ideal but not necessary. Boys can wear dress close, or casual jeans with bottom hems rolled up, T-shirt, slicked back hair and so on.
-Please notify me as soon as possible if your child will not attend since I need to give an alternative assessment to your child.
-On May 4th, students must be present in their respective classrooms by
5:30PM, concert will begin promptly at 6PM.
Please let me know if you have any questions and thank you for your support.
Here is what we will be working on in our classroom this week:
Reading - Our lesson is about Family Outings and the students will hear the stories Someone Bigger and One of Three. The sight words we will be working are have, one, ask, help, every, walk. We also will be practicing with the /l/ and /w/ sounds. Lastly, we will work on subject verb agreement when writing sentences.
Math - This week we will learn more about measurement, specifically weight, capacity, and events in time. The students will be assessed on this lesson on Friday of this week.
Religion - We will learn about how God should come first in our lives. The students will hear four different scripture stories including the story of Jesus in the desert and the rich young man. We will also have our final pride day of the year this Friday.
Thank you and have a great week!
