I hope you all enjoyed the spring concert on Friday evening! Your kiddos all looked so great and sang beautifully! You should all be very proud of them!
This week is our spring book fair. Please feel free to stop by the library before or after school to check out the books they have available to purchase. We will have time to visit as a class as well if you'd rather send money to school for them to purchase something.
We also have our Mother's Day Tea this Thursday at 1:30 pm. I hope to see you all there for our special celebration of you!!! As a reminder you do need to be safe environment compliant in order to attend this event. Thank you for your understanding.
Here is what we will be working this week in our classroom:
Reading: Our lesson is about learning new things and we will think about all the wonderful things we have learned throughout the year. The stories for the week are called Baby Brains and Look at Us. We will learn our final two sounds /y/ and /kw/ (qu spelling) as well as our final six sight words off, our, day, take, too, show. Lastly, we will have an introduction on prepositions.
Religion: In religion we will be reviewing the parts and order of the Mass.
Math: We begin our final chapter on money this week. The students will be introduced to each coin and we will practice their names as well as their value. The students will practice this skill by having the opportunity to purchase items using coins in our classroom.
Social Studies: We will begin a unit about maps. We will hear the story Me on the Map and then think about where we are on a map as well.
Thank you and have a great week!
