Hello K1 families!
I hope all of our moms enjoyed Thursday afternoon's tea. We loved having you visit our classroom and spend some time with us!
Can you believe we are in the final ten days of the school year?! We will have a busy and fun last couple weeks of school! Don't forget this Friday is our kindergarten Pajama Day. Your child may wear school appropriate pajamas but please have them wear tennis shoes as we will be on the playground for recess still.
Here is what we will be working on this week:
Reading: Our final reading lesson of the year is about being good neighbors. We will read the stories Pet Show and Miss Kindergarten Celebrates the Last Day of Kindergarten. We will be reviewing our sounds and sight words from this final unit as well as wrap up all the concepts that we have worked on throughout the school year. Our final spelling test will also be this Friday.
Math: We will finish up our lesson on money and wrap up the concepts that we have been working on throughout the school year. We will work on some centers to review.
Religion: We will talk about Pentecost and the Holy Spirit this week as well as host courtyard prayer and mass for the school.
Social Studies and Science: We will be working on me on the map as well as learn about ramps and forces of interaction.
Have a great week!!
Miss Lauren Cordier
