Happy Sunday everyone! It was so nice to see you all and tell you a little about what the year ahead will look like in K1 on Wednesday. I also appreciate all of your generosity in taking items from the classroom wish list. I feel very blessed to have such giving families in our class!
Here is the outline for our week:
Reading: We begin our first full lesson in reading this week that is all about families. We will hear two stories, Building With Dad and What Makes a Family? this week. The students will be sequencing what happened in our building story by drawing pictures to show beginning, middle and end. We will review letters K and L and learn how to correctly write the capital and lower case letters. In grammar, we will discuss nouns that we use for people. The students will also be working on a writing assignment to share about their own families.
Math: We will continue to review numbers this week as we move into numbers to ten. We will start with 6 and go up to 8.
Religion: We will complete days 3-7 in our creation booklets. Keep an eye out Friday for an email about our creation assessment that will take place next Wednesday.
Have a great week!
