Hello K1 families!
I hope you all had a relaxing and fun Labor Day Weekend! I am looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow at school!
Here is what we will be working on in our classroom this week:
Reading: This weeks lesson is about going to school and making friends. The students will hear the stories Friends at School and How Do Dinosaurs Go to School. Our high frequency word is "like." We will be reviewing letters P through T and practicing the proper way to write the upper and lower case letters. The students will also work on recognizing beginning sounds and words that begin with the same sound.
Math: We are finishing up chapter two this week and working through the number 9. We will practice putting numbers in order and think about one more and one less. We will end the week with some math centers to practice what we have learned in this chapter.
Religion: Our lesson for this week is all about how we are each made in God's image which makes us incredibly special! We will hear the story of Adam and Eve and how God created them in His image. Friday will also be our first Pride Day. The students will be assigned to their Pride families and be learning from our wonderful student leaders. It will be a great way to end the week!
Thank you and have a great week!
