Welcome back and Happy New Year everyone! I hope you enjoyed some time off with your families and friends. I am looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow!
We are jumping right back into things! Here is what we will be working on this week:
Reading: We will be reading and learning about animals and their homes this week. The books we will hear are Home for a Tiger, Home for a Bear and Turtle Splash. The new sight words will be "are" and "now." We will be learning the inital /b/ sound as well. Keep an eye out for a special project on animals and their homes that will be sent home this Friday!
Math: The students will learn about physical position. They will be introduced to the words first, second, and third. We will look at sequencing as well as ordering things. Lastly they will be introduced to graphing as we take a vote on what our first, second, and third favorite animals as a class are.
Religion: This week we will be learning about how Jesus is God the Son. The students will listen to various scripture stories that prove Jesus' divinity.
Have a great first week back!
